On May 18th, the Portland Cleanweb Community will be holding the first Pacific Northwest Cleanweb Hackathon at Earth Advantage in downtown Portland.
This is a gathering where developers, designers and business professionals dedicate their time to finding solutions to optimize resources use and accelerate cleantech development. You are invited to show how you can tackle local environmental issues in energy, waste, water and transportation through web, mobile and social media technology over the weekend.
The event starts with a kickoff party at 6:30 p.m. on May 17th. Though not mandatory, it is a perfect opportunity to scout for team members, talk to API providers, and to mingle with our sponsors and local investors. Did we mention there’ll be music, local food and brew and a view of Portland’s skyline?
Once you are registered, be sure to create your profile on Hacker League and create your project if you have one in mind already.
We thank our local organizers from Technology Association of Oregon, Thetus, CakeSystems, Environmental Action Institute, PDX-UX, cascade web//development, and a variety of Technology Association of Oregon member companies and user groups.
Earth Advantage’s nonprofit mission is to design tools for better buildings, directly and permanently reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Our focus is on building certification, education, research and consulting.
